Edwin S. Wall, Criminal Defense Attorney
Fellow American Bar
Foundation

Mr. Wall has spent his career fighting for the rights of those accused of crimes. His practice encompasses both state and federal courts in Utah and Wyoming, from misdemeanor charges to capital cases.

With hundreds of cases tried — including violence, murder, sex offenses, shaken baby syndrome, bank robbery, money laundering, tax fraud, drug conspiracy, murder-for-hire, and bombings — he brings unmatched trial experience to every defense.

Mr. Wall clerked for the Honorable judges of the 9th Judicial District of Wyoming and served as a deputy county and prosecuting attorney for Fremont County, Wyoming. This experience from both sides of the courtroom gives him an invaluable perspective in building defense strategies.

How We Can Help

From misdemeanor defense to the most serious federal charges — Mr. Wall brings the same preparation and tenacity to every case.

DUI

DUI defense requires challenging the traffic stop, field sobriety testing, breathalyzer calibration, and chain of custody. Mr. Wall scrutinizes every element of the state's case to protect your license and your record.

Drugs

From simple possession to large-scale federal trafficking conspiracies, Mr. Wall defends clients at every level — challenging search and seizure, chain of custody, and informant reliability.

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence charges carry consequences far beyond criminal penalties. Mr. Wall provides aggressive defense while navigating protective orders and family court implications.

Assault

Assault, battery, and aggravated assault cases often hinge on credibility and self-defense claims. Mr. Wall has extensive experience contesting the prosecution's narrative at trial.

Theft

Theft, robbery, burglary, and related property crimes — Mr. Wall challenges identification evidence, intent, and the sufficiency of the prosecution's proof at every stage.

Firearms

Federal and state firearms charges carry mandatory minimums that demand aggressive early defense. Mr. Wall challenges possession, knowledge, and the constitutionality of searches.

Murder

Mr. Wall has tried murder, aggravated murder, manslaughter, murder-for-hire, and capital cases. These matters demand an attorney with the trial experience to challenge every piece of the prosecution's evidence.

Sex Offenses

Sex offense charges require immediate, experienced legal counsel. Mr. Wall defends clients against allegations of sexual assault, rape, and offenses involving minors, including internet-based charges.

Fraud

Tax fraud, bank fraud, forgery, and identity theft — fraud cases are document-intensive and require deep forensic analysis. Mr. Wall has the experience to dismantle complex government financial cases.

White Collar

RICO, money laundering, securities fraud, and other white-collar offenses involve complex federal statutes. Mr. Wall's background includes defending clients in major federal white-collar investigations.

Federal Cases

Federal prosecution brings overwhelming resources and near-certain conviction statistics. Mr. Wall's admission to the U.S. Supreme Court and decades of federal practice give clients a genuine fighting chance.

Explosives and Bombing Cases

Destructive device and bombing charges are among the most serious federal offenses. Mr. Wall has tried bombing cases and brings specialized experience to these complex, high-stakes prosecutions.

Gestational Surrogacy Agreements

Since Utah legalized surrogacy in 2005, Mr. Wall has reviewed Gestational Agreements for surrogates, ensuring they fully understand their rights and the terms of their agreement before signing.
